New Hwy 212 is opening December 5th, 2007 By 2008, the new Highway 212 corridor is expected to reach Highway 41, and then to Carver by the end of 2008. The four-lane addition could cut 15 minutes off of drive time for anyone working to the east of Chaska. Access to 212 is less than a mile away from Clover Field Money Magazine Selects Chaska as One of 10 Best Communities in U.S. Money Magazine's August issue ranks Chaska as the 8th best small town in America. In making the selection Money Magazine editors point out that "this year we focused on smaller places, between 7,500 and 50,000 in population, that offered the best combination of economic opportunity, good schools, safe streets, things to do and a real sense of community." Clover Field within walking distance of new Biozone in Chaska. Upwards of 10,000 jobs could be destined for Carver County if the state legislature approves Chaska's application for 'Biozone' industrial park. The application involves 890 aces on the west side of Highway 212 between Engler and County Road 147, that would be used for businesses in the health, bioscience, and medical device industries. Clover Field is adjacent to this campus and offers prospective homeowners a traditional neighborhood where so much is within walking distance. |
